For the development of photonics technologies, a total budget of approximately 7.7 million euros is available within the R&D program PhotonDelta, financed by the National Growth Fund. This call has a duration of six years and focuses on strengthening the market and supply chains in the Dutch photonics sector. The program supports early scientific research (TRL 1-4) into groundbreaking photonic materials, devices and systems.
Purpose
This Call for Proposals is aimed at academic research in photonics, with applications in, among others, applied and theoretical physics, electrical engineering, chemical technology, materials science and life sciences. The call contributes to the further development of the Dutch photonics sector and the scaling up of innovative technologies from laboratories to companies.
For whom
Researchers from universities, colleges and TO2 institutions can submit an application.
Funding
Within this call, an NWO contribution of at least €400,000 and a maximum of €1,200,000 can be requested. For total project costs above €700,000, a co-financing of 25% is required by one or more users, in the form of in-kind, in-cash or a combination of these.
